SportsDay

SportsDay

The air crackled with excitement as the sun beat down on the field. It was sports day at Oakwood Elementary, and the vibrant colors of the four houses – Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow – filled the stands.

Little Timmy, a freckled boy in the Green House, clutched his baton, his heart pounding like a drum. He was running the 4x100m relay, and the fate of his team rested on his shoulders. The starter’s pistol cracked, and the race exploded into motion. Timmy’s legs burned as he sprinted, his eyes fixed on the finish line. He handed the baton off with a desperate lunge, and the next runner surged ahead.

The field erupted in cheers as the Green House crossed the finish line, a narrow victory over the fierce Red House. Timmy beamed, his chest heaving. He had done it!
