Department of Commerce
The Department of Commerce offers courses at UG and PG level. The UG courses are B.Com (CA), B.Com, B.Com (IT), PG courses are M.Com, and M. Com (CA).
Our department works tirelessly to help students gain practical knowledge of commerce, which will enable them to become dynamic businesswomen, entrepreneurs and excellent executives in the future. The Commerce Department of Michael Job College of Arts & Science For Women is well known for its creative and purposeful academic, social and cultural activities. The Department gives students valuable exposure through events like state and regional level conferences, guest lecturers, club activities and seminars. Such initiatives motivate our students to find innovative approaches and solutions, so that they can tackle contemporary challenges that come in the way of creating sustainable businesses.

Department of Computer Science
As the world witnesses exciting growth in the field of technology, computers determine the present and the future. The mission of the Department of Computer Science at MJC is to stay aware of and implement the latest advancements and innovations in technology. The department’s attempt is to become an important regional and national resource centre, for the development of computing and its applications.
The curriculum and courses offered by the department are specifically designed to incorporate relevant knowledge to meet industry needs. In order to enhance the quality of learning, the department frequently organises national and international conferences, workshops and guest lectures by resource persons from all over India.
The department is run by a team of well-qualified and experienced faculty that frequently collaborates with students on projects. The department regularly updates its short term training programs and value added courses. This helps students understand their interests, and pursue a career in a particular discipline within computer science.

Department of Zoology
The Department of Zoology was established in the year 2004 by MJC’s distinguished founder Dr.P.P.Job. It offers B.sc Zoology and M.sc Zoology courses.

Department of Tamil
Gaining knowledge of our native Tamil culture and literature enriches us as intellectuals and as members of Indian society.
The Department of Tamil at MJC was established in the year 2005, with Tamil as the medium of instruction. In the Academic Year 2011-2012, the B.A Degree Course in Tamil Literature was introduced. Over the years, with its experienced and qualified faculty, the department has worked together efficiently to train students in the rich world of Tamil literature.
In the department, there is great emphasis on the overall personality development of students. Members of the department can always be seen taking part in many co-curricular activities, such as the NSS, sports clubs and the Students’ Grievance Cell, amongst others. The goal is to transform them into well-read and confident individuals, armed with an expert knowledge in all areas of Tamil literature.
